Fashionably Hotter Than Hell by Robyn Peterman: this is the fifth book in this series, but the first one that I've read. I've read some of her other books, though, and this one stands up proudly among the rest. With charming humor, and terrible curse words, the story of Raquel and Heathcliff is a winner. Raquel has a secret that very few know, and it's preventing her from mating with Heathcliff, the love of her life. They've been sparring for hundreds of years, because of her fear that mating might just kill them both. Really loved this story, and will be reading the rest of this series soon!
Wolf Lover:Konochur by Victoria Danaan:
An inter dimensional werewolf romance. This is the first I've ever read by this author, and the beginning was a little confusing. Once I settled in to her rhythm, though, it was completely enjoyable. The wolves have made a home in a dimension they have colonized. When dragon shifters squat nearby, without permission, things get nasty. Lessie, who is still grieving her dead mate, is the object of fascination of Conn, a neighboring pack's Cassanova. A really great story.
Lost Embrace by Kim Grosso:
A newly turned vampire and former police detective, Sidney is having trouble feeding. Kade, her fiancé, turned her because she was near death, knowing she didn't want it.in a stunningly elaborate plot, so convoluted that you never know who the good guys are, this story is full of vampire bloodbaths, kidnappings, steamy sex, and romance.
What Not to Were by Dakota Cassidy:
This one is chock full of paranormals! Witches, and warlocks, and werewolves, oh my! Calla is a werewolf with self esteem issues, and a pack that doesn't care much who she mates with. Nash is a handsome cowboy and a warlock, who has waited three months to get into Calla's pants. When they do finally consummate their love, something wildly unexpected happens, and the entire community bands together to help. A sweet romance with humor, light sexual content, and all-around goodness. Something to read at the beach. Love it!
Harley-Awakening by Claudy Conn:
Harley is a witch/vampire hybrid, with all of the powers of both: super speed, spell-casting, blood thirst, etc.. After being bitten by a werewolf, she gains those powers as well, and some others, becoming super-powerful. This book contains some aspects of classic paranormal romance, but with a ton of new twists! You can bet I'm going to read the next books in this series! Awesome!
Forbidden Hunger by Theresa Gabelman:
Janna, the daughter of a wolf shifter and a human, has never known a pack, or shifted. She, along with two young shifters, run to a pack in Kentucky, after her mother is murdered. Garret, the alpha of the Kentucky pack, takes them in and promises protection from Jasper, the evil alpha hunting them. This is a story about love and loss, kidnapping, murder, and romance.
Gertie's Paranormal Plantation by Melanie James:
I have to say, this book was everything I hoped for. Gertie is the naive witch friend to Leigh ( from the Literal Leigh series). She is sweet and charming. Her long distance relationship with Brad, the hot fireman, is the cause of her recent anxiety. She really wants him to move to New Orleans, and move their relationship up to the next level. When she attempts an Old Norse love spell, it backfires (as they always do) and a bunch of hilarious calamities befall our gentle heroine. The way this book ended was completely perfect . Loved it!
Sonnet Vale: Paranormal Hunter by Gena D Lutz:
This was so much better than I expected, based on the title. Sonnet Vale is actually the name of the female lead. She is a vampire hunter, with a few hangups, like she can't actually kill them. She is an excellent tracker, though, as she can actually feel the vamps nearby. This take was full of surprises, and I will definitely be open to more books in this series.
Fang Chronicles: Tyboll by D'Elen McClain:
Veda, the witch, is a feisty redhaired witch to the bear clan. The shifters fear what they don't understand, so Veda lives a life of solitude. Tyboll is a bear shifter: surly, big bearded, long haired, patriarch alpha male. The two butt heads often, and pretty much hate each other on sight. What better recipe for true love? This was a sweet story with a few twists.
Her Dragon's Heart by Julia Mills:
A dragon shifter, Jace, meets his mate, Melanie, a powerful witch. When Melanie's grandfather has her kidnapped, Jace will do anything he can to bring her back. Evil Black Sorcerers, shifters, and a love story... Sign me up!
Seductive Solutions by Brandy L Rivers:
One part evil fae, one part love story, one part ménage, and one part friendship, all mixed up together to form a great novella. I loved it!
From Hell to Breakfast by Cynthia St.Aubin:
Lavinia, a succubus, is accused of murdering her recent victims.
Cryxus, a demigod, is takes with bring her in to Hades. In exchange, Hades will bargain with the Fates to save a woman that Cryxus once loved. The problem is that "vinnie" keeps killing him! This was a witty tale replete with some fabulous one-liners, and fit right into this set. I can't wait to read more! ( )
