Twin and inseparable sisters, Jade and Amelia, just want to have a good time to wash away the latest woes. Little do they know what awaits them in their bar hot spot... The style of the writing is dark and informative from the beginning. We understand that these two sisters have each other's backs, even as we also understand that there are certain conflicts between them. After all, what siblings have not been slightly annoyed by the protective tendencies of the other? The strange happenings occur with a taxi on the way to the bar, and seem to let off, only temporarily, as the attractive sisters catch the eyes of many potential suitors. From there, the night delves into further darkness, as two apparently suave men approach the sexy sisters, and things go in a direction altogether unexpected. The story is short but well-written with a suspenseful tone that never tells too much or shows too little. Through the passage of time, repercussions of the vampiric night become clear, as a wedge has formed between once inseparable sisters. An unknown society or subset of society exposes itself, and Jade's physical and psychological transformation becomes painfully apparent. Sexy and dark, a good read! ( )
