Oh, this is so good! Totally surprised with where it is going! The 'beasts' are being trained and we find things are much more sinister than we'd even realised, but Theresa finds an ally in the alpha of the pack, Rex. Romance is in the air yet it will not be tolerated by their captors. Meanwhile, the bigwigs need the 'beasts' ready for a dangerous mission ... soon. I'm truly enjoying this and the cool violets and blues with splashes of red really sets the atmosphere. ( )

Book description
As the days of brutal training in the top-secret Project Behemoth crawl by, our hero (and new recruit) Theresa struggles to hang on to her humanity while she keeps mutating into an armored monster. Rex, the pack leader, is doing his best to keep everyone sane, but hours of mindless drills and disciplinary electric shocks, on top of the monster-ifying, would make anyone start to lose it. Meanwhile, Rayne, the sinister director of this sinister project, grows suspicious of the human bonds tying the pack together. What he does next is an epic disaster.
