This is the third book in the Trilogy but it could very well be the first. The Shenandoah, a two hundred year old tall ship, hosts annual school trips for local children off the New England coast. Little does anyone know, but the schooner has a secret time portal that transports unsuspecting travellers back to Revolutionary America. In book one, Shenandoah Nights, we are introduced in passing to the unfortunate disappearance of teacher Melissa Smith five years previous. Book three, Shenandoah Dreams, is actually Miss Smith’s story. Romance is the star of the story as Melissa Smith meets handsome Captain Isaiah Reed and falls in love. Since those that have read the series in order know the outcome, this is more about filling in the details. For those that haven’t read the first two books, this one stands alone as a lovely romantic getaway. ( )
