Stolen art. Kidnapping. Blackmail. Drones

A skype call from Francine’s father in Rio de Janiero begins this new case. While Father Tomas was searching for the will of a parishioner who has just died, he goes to Mateos’ basement office and sees paintings that he knows shouldn’t be there. He skypes Francine to ask provenance. They are originals, a Leger, a Picasso, a Matisse, a Modigliani, and a Braque. And, the wife believing her husband was murdered.

I loved the backstory on Francine, the new romance, and the action that ensues. ( )

Francine's concern for her best friend and her parents' safety has to take a back seat to her determination to save the lives of bystanders.
