I own the hardcover version of Littlest Pet Shop: Open for Business and it was adorable so I jumped at the chance to review this next installment before it comes out. My children and I watch the show on a regular basis and it is one of our favorites. We love the distinct personalities of the characters and also how the show incorporates humor into the storylines. These books stay true to the show and fans of LPS will most certainly love them. The art is beautiful and colorful and the stories are entertaining and cute.

First, Pepper's owner is going away for business and she has nowhere to stay so Blythe arranges for her to stay with Penny Ling. After the first night of the sleepover, Pepper and Penny Ling try to change their personalities to suit the other and it obviously doesn't go well. It's great for teaching the little ones a lesson about being true to yourself and not trying to change who you are in order to please others. This seems to be the recurring theme throughout the book, since later on, Blythe finds herself confronting others about this same issue.

We also have Sunil accidentally hypnotizing Minka, Velvet and Cashmere sneaking out to go to the littlest pet shop and an outing with all the pets to the downtown city beach festival. The pets are in a band together and even Sugar Sprinkles makes an appearance. The Biskit twins always crack us up. There are plenty of adventures to enjoy, including some quick, short reads where the kids will love the pictures.
