Very enjoyable look at the movie Major League from conception on. It was interesting reading about how they chose the actors and the filming of the movie. I think that fans of the movie would appreciate this book more than someone who has never seen the movie. ( )

A fine book for what it is, but it quickly became apparent to me that I loved the movie (and the actors involved) too little to blow through the book. ( )

I've always been a big Major League fan. Probably since before it was age appropriate. And so reading about how the movie came together from the very beginning was thoroughly fascinating to me. Highly recommended to fellow fans of the movie! ( )

The Making of Major League is a behind the scenes look at the making of this beloved movie. From develop, ent to casting to shooting to wrap up to release and response ultimately leading to its cult movie status, this book lovingly covers all of these elements and more. The books epilogue contains updates on everyone involved in the film. It helps if you're a baseball fan to truly enjoy this but also if you're interested in film making you'll enjoy it as well. ( )

I really enjoyed this book. Having watched the movie a number of times and used quotes from it's characters a BUNCH, it was fun to read through the behind-the-scenes development of the movie, how things were changed, how they shot memorable scenes, etc. I'd recommend this one as a quick read, with great information on a truly classic baseball film.
