I received this book as an ARC through the Early Reviewers group on LibraryThing.

This book was exactly what I was looking for as a primer for Triathlon training, specifically because so many of the books/magazines I looked at were geared towards males. It was informative without being condescending. I foresee referring to it often. ( )

This book is a good reference source for women athletes. The structure of this book provides for information on a variety of aspects of triathlon preparation. The strong woman focus offers tips and strategies for effective training. Within that umbrella of training is not just swimming, biking and running, but also addresses equipment, the diet and body awareness for women, and the mental attitude. Overall, a clear and concise book on female tri-athletes because this is information that you can use. ( )

This book is a comprehensive guide to the triathlon for women that had explanations for every aspect of the triathlon, especially geared towards the female body. It is wonderfully woman-focused, in terms of specific tips for the sport.

Loved how this book was an easy read. Great information broken down that an aspiring tri athlete would need to know. I especially love the nutrition part and mental training. Would highly recommend. ( )

This book was a surprisingly helpful and easy read. In past experience, books like this can either be overly technical to the novice runner or too pandering. This book was divided into 18 chapters, with each one authored by an experienced female triathlete. I am eager to utilize the advice in my own workouts. ( )
