I totally agree with you on Satrapi's other works. I loved Persepolis and its follow up book but Chicken with plums was less than compelling for me. I liked it but I was not impressed. Not sure where I am going next yet. I think I may go back to Iran with Marjane Satrapi and read Chicken with Plums, since that's the only one of her graphic novels I haven't gotten to yet. Then I might settle in for the long haul with one of my big tomes for the year ... Chicken with Plums is the one I was thinking of. Thanks, SqueakyChu! ... other books, one of which is a children's book. I haven't read either of those, though. For sure I'd get the adult one, Chicken with Plums, if I came across it in my searches of used bookstores. Maybe even the children's book, Monsters are Afraid of the Moon.
