This book (the fourth in the Rachel Morgan series) was payoff for me for reading the earlier books, which I didn’t enjoy quite so much. In earlier books, I had liked the characters and the world, but found the plots a bit too convoluted ... Woo, well over halfway through the challenge now!

Gaskell's Life of Charlotte Bronte. Just finished Octavia Butler's Fledgling and I'm about to start on Kim Harrison's A Fistful of Charms (#4 in "The Hollows" series). On my Kindle, just finished Octavia Butler's Fledgling and I'm now back to Kim Harrison's "The Hollows" series with #4, A Fistful of Charms.
For dead-tree reading, I think I'm going to get started on Charlotte Bronte's The Green Dwarf. Just finished Octavia Butler's Fledgling and I'm now back to Kim Harrison's "The Hollows" series with A Fistful of Charms (#4). Those are both Amazon purchases, but the majority of my Kindle library is free downloads, primarily from Feedbooks|Mobile. As far as buying the hardcover for A Few Demons More, ... ... or Bust, which I love, because I dont want it to be over. (On the other hand, I stayed up late last night finishing A Fistful of Charms which I really liked, but not enough not to not finish it.

I'm tempted to make this one 5 & 6, since it's an omnibus edition containing Every Which Way But Dead and A Fistful of Charms. I do like these Rachel Morgan books. ... off Dead Witch Walking, The Good, the Bad and the Undead, and Every Which Way But Dead, I'm a bit bogged down in Fistful of Charms -- not that it isn't good, but I think I may have overreached in trying to read all four of the Kim Harrison books in a row. I have a couple of friends ... Just finishing up Every Which Way But Dead by Kim Harrison. I've got the next book in the series, Fistful of Charms, at hand and will probably head straight into it -- I've been enjoying these more than I'd expected. I liked Every Which Way But Dead more than A Fistful of Charms simply because I think in Fistful that the heroine is slipping into unethical behavior. Also, I don't normally notice editorial issues, but my copy used ... super- I'm on A Fistful of Charms and like Kim Harrison's books a lot. Fistful may be her best yet although I really like Every Which Way but Dead. I'm not done with it, so we'll see.
I haven't bought Mistral's Kiss. Maybe I'll buy it in paperback form. I don't mind Gentry's magical cootchie, ... ... Which Way But Dead by Kim Harrison
