This was my first book by Dee Henderson and I am hooked. What a gift of writing she has. This story had it all. Romance, action, suspense and faith. She makes you feel like you are there. You fall in love with Joe and Kelly. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the other 3 in this series. ( )

I really liked the heart of this book. The idea that, while God does take away, he leaves even better treasures behind. And the losses were not for nothing. If Nick hadn't died, Kelly wouldn't have been able to get as close to Joe. If Kelly hadn't been washed out to sea with Ryan, she wouldn't have met him or Charles and Raider might have never been caught. It just goes to show you how complex God's plans can be. Sometimes, when you look back, it seems as though God did write life like a book: everything going towards the ending already planned. ( )

I was a little disappointed. I loved the O'Malley Series, but this was much more of a romance than a suspense novel, and sappy to boot. ( )
