This book is about a brother and sister who travel back in time to save a small town that has very sick children. They need the special medicine to help the children. They travel in the snow by sled and sled dogs help them get there fast. They have the ability to make people forget they were there from the future. They do not know how to direct the dogs but they are also given that ability before they leave as well. The story is very attention getting and can draw anyone from any age group in. I like how this author uses history to explain to today's children about historical topics and times. For an extension of this, you could look up sled dog races or documentaries about them on YouTube.
