Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 857328398X, Paperback)

This volume is composed of two parts: the third and the fourth. In the third, entitled “At the Onset of the Movement”, the authors describe Kardec’s numerous activities, his concerns and moments of fatigue, his trips, etc. Under the heading “Intolerance and Persecutions”, the authors comment on Kardec’s numerous cases of persecution and criticism aimed at him and Spiritism, including the unfortunate book burning in Barcelona. In the fourth part, the authors focus on Allan Kardec’s Spiritist books, the Spiritist Review, the societies and the Spiritist journals of the rising Movement, as well as the peak of his career as Codifier, his illness, his vision of a team of innovators, his discarnation, tributes and testimonies, and his dolmen. In the chapter entitled “Curiosities” there are some interesting facts concerning aerial navigation – foreseen by Kardec, the world’s first Spiritist postage stamps, the incredible “Process of Spiritists”. The volume ends with “Observatories in the Unseen World”, a chapter in which the authors address revelations concerning Spiritism and Science. An Anthroponymic Index completes Volume II.
