Love's Journey Home from C. A. Simonson shot extremely close to home for me, which made it a better book. I think many of us would be able to relate to this heart worming tale of survival and hardship. This book had me both laughing and crying at times, so you'll want a pack of tissues close by.

There is a christian aspect to the book, which the author tackles very tastefully, so even if you think you're not interested, give this one a look.

The story follows a lad Frankie who, along with his 6 brothers and sisters, are abandoned one cold night in winter. The children all split and go their separate ways while Frankie heads to the farm down the road. The story follows the up's and downs of his life. ( )
