I teach 5th grade and this year I have a classroom full of boys that love history. This has been a great addition to the classroom library. The reading level is great for my upper 5th grade students and the content has them wanting to learn more about history and the Cold War. Thank you for a great book! ( )

Enjoyable book. All the various stories about spies and the things they got up to kept my interest. Easy to read. Able to read the book in one-or-two sittings. I'm not sure who (age-wise) the book is intended for, maybe a young adult audience, for it includes simple craft-like projects that would be appropriate for a youngish reader while the text would be more suitable for someone more advanced. Look forward to reading other books in this series. ( )

I enjoy the "Top Secret Files" series. I think the short stories in the book are engaging and interesting. I think some of the articles would be great supplemental reading for a history lesson. The print is small and some-what dense on the page, which would need to be taken into consideration when sharing the book with students. I enjoyed the pictures and the facts scattered throughout the book. This would be a great read for anyone who enjoys history and an engaging read for those who find history a bit boring. Thanks for sharing! ( )

This is a very interesting book.
I love that I can learn so much about American History through these well written and entertaining books. I love to read about the history of our nation and learning things that I may not learn in a normal textbook. ( )

This is my first book in the "Top Secret Files" series, and I am not quite sure what to make of it. As a teacher who works primarily with teens who have learning disabilities (most of which are specifically related to reading), I am not sure who the target audience was for this book. While it is incredibly well-written and engaging, the level of the content and the vocabulary does not seem to match the developmental level of the mini-projects scattered throughout the book. I shared this with a number of my students before writing this review, and the common consensus was that the students who could actually read the text found the activities childish, while the students who enjoyed the activities were too young to understand the text. Having said that, I personally found the book entertaining and interesting, from the perspective of an adult who can "modify" the stories into mini-history lessons for my classroom. ( )
