This is a must read for fans of Urban Fantasy! Imagine that Harry Dresden was an MMA fighter. Now, throw him into a Dan Brown novel, overrun with all of the pantheons, plus monsters! Starting to get the idea? This book is a really great way to introduce the world and characters of this series. In the beginning of the book, the main character wakes in a bathtub full of blood, with full amnesia. Throughout the narrative, his memory gradually returns as we, the readers, follow along and learn the landscape of the story, the various religious and psychic factions, and the characters closest to the protagonist. I am looking forward to reading more of this series. ( )
