Wish For Me sparked a little curiosity in me with the whole genie in a lamp and three wishes. I assumed it would be sort of like Aladdin but I had no idea I was going to like it this much. It's not the kind of book I would normally pick out, but once in a while I like to shake things up and deviate from my preferred genres. This goes to show that you should definitely venture out of your comfort zone more often. I never would've guessed that the "genie" or the Djinn would be so extremely swoonworthy! I liked the heroine a lot too (except for a couple of occasions when she needed to be smacked in the head). She was feisty and funny and I liked that.

The plot reminded me a bit of Rebel Belle, only sooo much better. This was one of those books where incredible things happen yet somehow, it's not hard to believe it at all. Glory is so down to earth and normal and the way the author presents the story makes it feel like it's really happening. We also encounter some twists along the way that make for a great overall read. The only downside for me was that I got quite confused at the end. I had to go back and re-read several pages a few times because I didn't understand the ending. Maybe we'll get a better explanation in the next book since it was sort of a cliffhanger or maybe it was just me who didn't get it. Either way, this was a pretty wonderful book -it was fast-paced and it kept my interest the whole time.
