Even though I consider I have a relatively organized life, reading books like this one is always interesting because there always seems to be something new that I can use to optimize my daily life. This book was no exception.
For those who are having difficulties in starting a new healthy habit (or are just trying to stop procrastination), this books points us to an alternative quite similar to the Pomodoro Technique, but really simplified. Instead of setting a timer to 15 to 20 minutes, it helps you breaking your goal into really small, easy to accomplish tasks and gives you one minute to do whatever you have to do. This may sound triffle (not really useful in my case, since I have discipline and usually know how to prioritize tasks), but it really helps you in getting to begin any tasks. It only gives small victories a lot of value, which may also be quite helpful with people having issues with self esteem.

Another interesting aspect of this book is that it's not limited to fire thousands of methods, rules and examples at you. It also explains a bit of how your brain works when creating a new habit, why it works this way and how you can train it to work towards your goals without exhausting your energy and self-motivation. It also gives you a couple of useful tips to get rid of bad habits little by little.

If you're struggling with your New Years resolution every single year of your life and have tried every single method that the media suggested, this book may be just what you're looking for. ( )
