This was a sweet, and entertaining romantic read. Two characters who grew up in a sheltered world, trained to be the aristocrat their parents wanted for them, find each other in Texas on a ranch. Falling in love even more deeply with her handsome fiancé, Cecily has traveled across an ocean to meet the man she will marry. But Charles has other ideas, plans that don't involve a wife, well, a fiancé anyway. But Cecily has his flabbergasted from the get go. She is no longer the demure and quiet lady of the ton he knew, but a winsome and erstwhile beauty that will do anything to prove to him she will make a good rancher's wife. ( )
