The Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon and my fave three books from that are Fantasy Lover, Night Pleasures and Unleash the Night.
The Dark series by Christine Feehan and my faves from that series are Dark Prince, Dark Desire, Dark Melody and Dark C ... ... in that scenario, but whatever.
And I'm half in love with most of Sherrilyn Kenyon's main male characters - Kyrian from Night Pleasures, Acheron, Vane from Night Play ... I could go on. And Jenine you've probably read me going on about this so much on loads of different threads, lol :P ... closer look at Shakespeare's treatment of the characters.

I picked up City of Ashes a couple weeks ago and still need to read it. I read mixed reviews about it, but it still sounds good to me.
While I'm thinking about it Got Fangs? is a great YA vampire/romance story by Katie Maxwell. ... ... books by Meg Cabot, this is always my response when people ask for books like Twilight. Also, Sherrilyn Kenyon's Night Pleasures is a really great romance too and almost comparable to Twilight. ... listing multiple books by an individual author as one, otherwise there is no way I could name only five.

Rhage was the leading character in Lover Eternal and Kyrian was the lead in Night Pleasures. I also really, really like Valerious (I think I misspelled that!) and Vane. For some weird reason I have an easier time remembering the book titles. Not sure why. ... one with Butch really surprised me. It was really WAY better than I expected.
Of Kenyon's books I think my fave was Night Pleasures, but so many of them were so good it's hard to decide. Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series are very good starting off with Fantasy Lover and Night Pleasures.
Also, Christine Feehan has a series about Carpathian vampires which is good. The first book of that series is Dark Prince.
The other paranormal series I love to suggest are ... ... bother to read this one; it's a bore.)

Night Pleasures is the next book after Fantasy Lover and is a fantastic book as well.

Now I'm on to Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I read Fantasy Lover a couple of weeks ago, just to try out a paranormal romance, and really liked it. I've been haunting the ... I hope you like Night Pleasures! Grace and Julian make appearances in the book. I always kind of liked seeing past characters showing up in subsequent books, it lets you keep an eye on what they're doing LOL
I've only read Bitten and Stolen by Kelley Armstrong so far and I definately ... Dl I ordered Night Pleasures. That's too bad about Stolen being so similar. I have only read one of Armstong's books, I think it was Dime Store Magic. ... rather similar and I had to keep reminding myself that Adam wasn't Jeremy, Samuel wasn't Clay and Mercy wasn't Elaina.
Night Pleasures is the book that takes place after Fantasy Lover and I liked that one almost as much if you wanted to give it a shot. A couple others from that series I ... As faves for the dark hunters Night Pleasures is my top but I also really liked Seize the Night. Night Play and Unleash the Night were my faves for the shapechangers. Demon, Night Pleasures is my fav Sherrilyn Kenyon book. :) I'm still reading Here Be Dragons by Penman on my train commute.
At home, I'm reading Night Pleasures.
On audio, I'm still listening to Angels Fall.
I also started After Midnight by Medeiros and The Foretelling by Alice Hoffman (not exactly a romance, but it sounded ... Just finished Devil in Winter by Kleypas, which was absolutely wonderful.
