This is sequel to the first "Dark Ones" series, in this book Christian sets out to find his beloved. Instead he gets an overbearing and not in the least what he expected women, who doesn't want him. She is a ghost summoner and during her adventures in London she lands herself into a sticky situation, one in which her Dark One must help her out of.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the last one. It didn't have the same humor the other book contained. Her sarcastic characters stayed the same but there were no laugh out loud moments. Also the steamy scenes were really nothing more the warm water in my opinion. I just didn't feel what I wanted to feel between Christian and his beloved. Ill give the next one a try in hopes she can redeem herself.

Quite a fun read! ( )

Allie is a summoner, not a very successful one. A woman who has managed to get herself out of a bad marriage, not before having to deal with the death of her brother and the death of her husband. She is visiting England and trying to find her place in the world. Then she meets with Dante and a lot of her assumptions are changed.

It's fun sometimes and the two characters spark off each other well. However I'm not sure that she won't slap him at some stage for being a bit stupid about her. If you're a fan of Katie MacAlister this will amuse, however it's pretty predictable. ( )

This was an okay read. Other of her novels are much better. The plot was a bit predictable and the heroine lame, but I've read worse. ( )

This is the story of Allegra and Christian. It's not my absolute favorite, because they get together too easily at the beginning. Still, fun, like most of the Katie MacAllister books... ( )

The message waiting for me at the hotel desk was short and concise: Either you come back form England with bona fide proof of a spiritual entity, or you needn't bother returning to the office.
