Certain things were borderline, but kept being just on the edge from being annoying. Kept flirting with the men pushing, pulling, bringing non-consent and rape to the mix, but they kept being just on the edge of that. Without going over. If the women weren't the type they were, wiling hat is, could easily have slipped to rape. A lot of embarrasing moments, some dubious consent moments, but story kept from going too far.

Still. Certain things moved it to cloud land/fantasy land. Certain unrealistic moments. But then I've never been to Japan so I wouldn't know how those moments might have turned out there.

On one level it's good that the teacher having sex with her students occurred so late in the story. As, by that point, it all seemed to be someone's daydream, so it left the realm of "eww-gross, now I'm going to have to rate this 1 star or less." But, as said, late enough in a dreamy story to have a different impact than it might have had. Still, any other story, late introduction of the teacher on student sexual issue would have completely killed the book.

The inclusion of the two different lesbian/bisexual threads was a nice addition. Well, one lesbian, one bisexual. Thread. I see I need to elaborate or I'll confuse myself. One lesbian couple thread, one possible lesbian/bisexual couple thread wherein both seem to be interested in the other, but one isn't sure. Side characters, though. And no, I'm not referring to how much pleasure the main character gets/got/gives to other women. ( )
