( ![]() In this book about racial diversity, a child is born to parents of different skin colors (one light, one dark). This book celebrates how each individual is a mix of different colors and each child is mixed just right to make the perfect color. Mixed Me! is a great book to read to students that addresses how everyone is different and perfect just the way they are. Mike is a wonderful blend of his parents who are chocolate and vanilla blending him, "just right." Mike is mixed and he has a lot of questions for his parents about being mixed. His dad is dark and his mom is light and is parents tell him that he I a perfect blend of dark and light. This is a great book for kids and has a great message. Throughout the book mike is confident in himself even though he looks different. I absolutely love the message this book portrayed! Teaching kids that it is okay to be different and have a blended family. I belive this book would be perfect to read at all ages. It could be used in a class to teach; acceptance, about inter-racial families, and about kindness. no reviews | add a review
