This book is about a fast-moving little boy named Mike. It touches upon mixed race is a simple and accepting way. The illustrations add fun and understanding to issues such as diversity. It is appropriate for K-2 and would be a great conversation started for issues such as diversity, mixed race, and acceptance. ( )

In this book about racial diversity, a child is born to parents of different skin colors (one light, one dark). This book celebrates how each individual is a mix of different colors and each child is mixed just right to make the perfect color.

Mixed Me! is a great book to read to students that addresses how everyone is different and perfect just the way they are. Mike is a wonderful blend of his parents who are chocolate and vanilla blending him, "just right."

Mike is mixed and he has a lot of questions for his parents about being mixed. His dad is dark and his mom is light and is parents tell him that he I a perfect blend of dark and light. This is a great book for kids and has a great message. Throughout the book mike is confident in himself even though he looks different. ( )

I absolutely love the message this book portrayed! Teaching kids that it is okay to be different and have a blended family. I belive this book would be perfect to read at all ages. It could be used in a class to teach; acceptance, about inter-racial families, and about kindness. ( )

Book description
Mom and Dad say I'm a blend of dark and light:
"We mixed you perfectly, and got you just right."

Mike has awesome hair. He has LOTS of energy! His parents love him. And Mike is a PERFECT blend of the two of them.

Still, Mike has to answer LOTS of questions about being mixed. And he does, with LOTS of energy and joy in this charming story about a day in the life of a mixed-race child.
