A cop and a biker – shouldn’t work. That said, I often read a book for the fantasy element in a romance rather than its reality quotient - this is a book that fits that bill for me because not much of the book seemed “real” but it was a fun, steamy read with a HEA to finish it off. Both Ace and Sophie had pasts that left scars, neither was looking for more than a one night stand, both were charmed by the other though neither wanted to be, both were torn by their ties to groups they belonged to, both wanted what was best in the long run for those they cared about. I won’t go into details about the story BUT will say I enjoyed the book. I am very curious about Kickstand and Ryder and what will happen to the club in the future. I have read one book by this author in the past, “Sinner’s Steel” and have to say it grabbed me more than this novella BUT both were good in their own ways.

Thank you to NetGalley and Barclay Publicity for the copy of this book to read and review.
