What a charming book. It's the perfect mix of humorous and endearing. Both my boys (3 and 6) loved it. I did too! ( )

Every day at writing time, while his classmates scribble stories around him, Ralph tries to avoid writing, because he says, "I have no story!" But, forced to get up in front of the class, he starts with a sentence, and then his classmates' questions remind him that, in fact, he does have a story! Hanlon's (Dory Fantasmagory) art is charming, and kids will empathize with Ralph whether they're more like him or more like his classmate Daisy (who has so many stories she makes them into a stapled book).
