I liked the characters and art a lot in this one, and the little informative interludes about post-apocalyptic Scandinavia were very cool. I loved the spread with the language comparisons.
My poor eyes could barely handle the font size (author trivia—she designed her own font, which was neat but so so small in this format). I may have to switch to the web comics after this. Speaking of web comics, this 300-something page book was mostly world-building, characterization, and stage setting. I wonder if the pacing is because it was adapted from a web comic. I still enjoyed it, but it took most of the book just to assemble the team. I did really like the characters, setting, and the author’s sense of humor, though, and I’m eager to see what happens next. An awesome post-apocalyptic graphic novel. A pandemic wipes out most of humanity and also large parts of the animal kingdom. Many who it didn't kill, it seems to have turned into terrible monsters. The Nordic European countries were able to quarantine themselves well enough to have healthy survivors. They have kept in touch and are slowly trying to expand their territories and clean and take back the surrounding countryside. Someone has put together an expedition to go far into old cities to see what they can see. We follow these hardy fools. ( )

Ninety years after the apocalypse, a research team is sent out into the wasteland to try and salvage lost knowledge. They are unqualified, underfunded, and suffer from multiple language barriers. This cannot possibly end well. Gorgeously illustrated. ( )

This book collects the first five chapters of Minna Sundbergs epic post-apocalyptic roadtrip buddy web comic. The art is gorgeous, the colors sumptuous and the writing purposeful without being hurried or humorless. I look forward to more of this story online and in print. ( )
