Tell you everything you wanted to know about the Fletcher class destroyers in general and the USS Kidd in particular. It goes over everything about the USS Kidd, from its armaments to its Electronics to its power plants. In addition the book has a briefer bio of the Kidd's namesake Rear Admiral Isaac C. Kidd. The book finishes up with the service record of the USS Kidd and its eventual move to Baton Rouge were it was converted into a museum ship. There are also lots of very nice pictures throughout the book however a few were blown up from their original size so they turn out fuzzy. Overall a nice book if you are interested in destroyers or if you are a modeler who wants some good pictures for reference. ( )
