This is a cute easy reading book with different Valentine's Day poems in it. There are pictures to go with each one. Most of the poems have a rhyming scheme.
I really liked this book. Of course, my favorite kind of literature is poetry and my favorite poetry is rhyming. I wanted to read this book because Valentine's Day is tomorrow and it is one of my favortie holidays.
I would read this book to the class the week of Valentine's Day. Then, the students would write a rhyming poem with a Valentine theme. They could choose what they wanted to write about. I would not make them choose a boy or girl. Then the children would learn different words that mean the same thing. ( )
