I'm on book 7 right now, A Crown of Swords, but this quote from book 6, Lord of Chaos, really struck me (and for me to remember it out of 900+ pages per book is impressive, I think!):
"We are always more afraid than we wish to be, but we can ... I'm back in Randland with A Crown of Swords, book 7. My goal is to be caught up with the whole Wheel of Time to date by the end of 2009. It'd go faster if I didn't read other stuff in between! Book 13

Book 7 in the Wheel of Time series. This is re-read.
Rand recovers from his abduction by Elaida's Aes Sedai while fighting to maintain control of Caemlyn for Elayne. Min and Rand grow much closer.
Elayne, Nynaeve and Mat find the Bowl of the Wind ... ... usually do that better than nonfiction, and indeed it was the case. I wouldn't recommend this to everybody, though.

Number seven! Still can't stand Faile, still love Mat but want him to accept his fate and do some hardcore memory awesome, ... ... the first in the series (and it does nothing but get better after that). I'm several books into the series (just finished A Crown of Swords), and it's become one of my top favorite fantasy series. ... the Order of the Phoenix

The Well of Tears: Book Two of the Crowthistle Chronicles by Cecilia Dart-Tho ... I have to agree with you: The Shadow Rising is my fave with Lord of Chaos and A Crown of Swords in second place.
