Clifford is a giant red dog that is the size of a house, this wouldn't happen in real life, yet children often love clifford. They find the stories entertaining and enjoyable. This book teaches the importance of family, expecially during thanksgiving in an understandable way for students. I would use this book in a primary classroom. The type of media used is pencil. ( )This was a fun holiday book. I really like all the Clifford books and in this one, at the end he was thankful for Emily Elizabeth and she was thankful for him. The whole book was about Clifford going to search for his Mom while Emily Elizabeth went to her grandmother's house. You could read this book to your students around Thanksgiving, and have them share their Thanksgiving plans or make a hand turkey. I read this book on the radio and tv to about 11 kids. They seemed to really enjoy this book, I liked it for the most part. Clifford and Emily Elizabeth start out early Thanksgiving morning to spend the day with his mother, little suspecting the difficulties he will have in reaching her. They discover how much they have to be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day. Paperback copy. Emily Elizabeth spends Thanksgiving with her grandmother and Clifford spends it with his mom after an adventurous trek into the city. no reviews | add a review
