Linda Forrest gets jilted on her wedding day. She doesn't think she can ever be happy again, especially in her hometown, with everyone looking at her. So she decided to become a mail order bride and thinks she has found a good Christian gentleman she could possibly fall in love with through their correspondence. So she sets out to meet Blake Barrett.

Blake Barrett is a successful bank owner who can't seem to find the Christian woman he is looking for, so decides to try a mail order bride. He thinks he has found the perfect one in Linda Forrest and anxiously awaits meeting her. But days before she arrives, his good friend and almost partner at the bank double-crosses him and Blake lands in prison.

Without knowing what Blake looks like, his wicked partner tries also to steal the girl and fakes who he is when Linda arrives. Won't spoil it by telling you the rest of the story, but I found myself staying up late to finish the story and see how everything worked out in the end. The authors write a very good story, and I enjoy the emphasis they placed upon trusting God to work all things out for His glory. It was full of adventure, some mystery and romance, taking you through many highs and many lows in people's lives. It even brought tears to my eyes at the end. Looking forward to more in this series.
