This book contains a collection of poems that all relate to things that happen at church on sunday. Good Book! Children can tell about events at church. In Come Sunday, Nikki Grimes uses her poetry to walk readers through the daily happenings of a young girl every Sunday. Not only does Grimes use her strong voice to describe the events, but she also gives vivid descriptions of the people and emotions that come up at church every Sunday. Michael Bryant's illustrations really connect with the poetic voice that draws the reader into the story. The language is very easy to follow for young readers. no reviews | add a review

Review: This book is told from the perspective of a young girl and is about her church experiences. The story takes a good look at the actual culture of going to her church and the other people who attend. The poems are very good at conveying the main points of the poems into a beautifully descriptive language that is still understandable for young learners. (
