Read preliminary text and reviewed the descriptions of the 74 Slavonic (and Slavic) MSS at St. Panteleimon's. The monastery has many more Greek than Slavonic MSS. Most books were gone by the 19th century. Almost all the current MSS (Slavic and Greek) were doubtless acquired by Fr. Matfei the librarian after the 1850s. The preponderance of MSS are Balkan in origin. No scriptural MSS in modern Slavonic.
