I love the topic of this book!! For students that are interested in dinosaurs or insects but have read a lot of material about the subjects already would love this book for its similar, yet unique, topic. It includes fantastic illustrations, connections to history, and facts about modern insects. I think that this book would be a great choice for a student who is having trouble moving from narrative to informational texts, as it has the "feel" of a fictional book, but still includes good science.

I would use this book as suggested reading for students who need a new dinosaur/insect book or for students having trouble remaining interested in informational texts.

An informational insect book. Useful for teaching students interesting facts about bugs. Also useful for younger grades that are doing research. ( )
