This book is amazing I love how it's set-up and the language is easy to understand. I've learned so much about myself and others. I'm not a big reader (I usually fall asleep), but because of the interesting chapters and true life stories I found 'Analyse Yourself' difficult to put down. -P.N., age 17Some have already labeled her a future teen expert. Only in her mid-twenties, Karyn is a teen therapist with a private counseling practice. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology, a masters in counseling and is currently working towards her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Over the last five years she has traveled across North America speaking to more than 150,000 high school students on the topic of self-esteem and motivation. Her current high school speaking tour is fully sponsored by Pepsi, Pizza Pizza and Doritos. She also had an editorial column, Dear Karyn in the national magazine What, where teens wrote in for personal advice. In 1998, she founded Yacka Productions Inc. (Youth Actively Choosing Kreative Alternatives) and acted as creator, producer and host of the international music talk-show, Spill Your Guts (SYG). She interviews well-known musicians (e.g. 98 Degrees, Aqua, Matchbox 20, Everclear, Live and many others) to spill their guts about issues important to youth (ie. self-esteem, dealing with parents, dating, spirituality etc.). The show offers a refreshing perspective of reality and hope. SYG is broadcast across Canada, the United States and Singapore. No library descriptions found. |
