This is a great informational picture book for kids. The author did a good job writing this. This book is a good way to inform kids about the different types of bugs. This book is very informational for kids and adults. I would recommend this book to others. ( )

I read this to my kids often! They love the book and all the information they learn about bugs! Very informative and easily worded for story telling! ( )

I liked this book for several reasons. First, the book is divided into appropriate sections and chapters, which makes it easy for the reader to find the information they are looking for. For example, if a reader wanted to learn about butterflies they would look under Chapter 4: Fantastic Fliers and then look for the butterfly subcategory. The table of contents is also extremely accessible and easy to follow. Another thing I enjoyed about the book is the amount of pictures given on each page. All of the pictures are labeled with the animal and often feature a fun fact. For example, one page features pictures of ants and has a fun fact that there are 20,000 species of ants. These facts are written in bright yellow bubbles which draw attention and interest to them. I also liked that each page did not overwhelm the reader with information. Instead, the pages featured 2-4 sentences of key information. Lastly, I enjoyed that at the end of every chapter there was a game for students to play. Chapter 3 featured a game where students had to follow the correct path with their finger in order to help the insects get back to their appropriate nests. This not only helps the reader review the content discussed in the previous chapter but also adds an interactive element to the book. The main idea of the book is to provide information about different bugs and insects and make this information easily accessible for young readers. ( )
