entertaining little book, 6 Jan. 2011

reprint of 1701 volume instructing young persons how to behave. under such subheadings as 'behaviour at table', a series of numbered points address the child on how he should comport himself. I loved 'if Thy Superior relate a Story, say not "I have heard it before" but attend as if it were to Thee altogether new... if he tell it not right, snigger not nor endeavour to help out". Accompanied by little b/w line drawings ( )
