Finished The Mistress of Spices by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. After a hesitant start I enjoyed this story of myth and reality, and the suspense about Tilo's future kept me reading to the end. I also learnt a bit more about the culture of India.

57. The Mistress of Spices by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni - At first I thought I was not going to like this book but I persevered and after a few chapters I really got into it. The suspense of not knowing what was going to happen to her kept me reading to the very end.

Just finished Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood. Another very good work from the pen of Atwood. Next The Mistress of Spices by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni.
