An artistically dominant experience rooted in reality, "Frank's Great Museum Adventure" showcases the wonders of "time travel" via a trip to a museum. Rod Clements presents the story in a very interesting fashion, switching from factual to fantasy when protagonist Frank stops to examine each exhibit. For instance, the pages alternate from stating historical evidence about the Ice Age's wolly mammoths to a comical interpretation of chisseling through a freezer looking for pizza. I think this book would be perfect as a prepping for a historically significant field trip. ( )

A boy and his dog travel through time at a museum. A great book to teach children about things that happened in the past. ( )
