This oversize (9.6"x13") book has large clear color photos of some wonderful 19th century quilts. Some have appeared elsewhere in smaller photos, and some I have not seen in other books. The author may have prevailed on her relationship with Shelly Zegart to get access to these collections. This book is worth the price for the photos, but no useful info is provided regarding the provenance of any of the quilts. The text is unbelievably inane, and should be ignored if at all possible.
