This is a really cool, unheimlich (it reminds me aesthetically of that weird old video game Out of This World) book about a strange green cat-man-thing (a dream cat? a man in a cat suit? A superficially catlike alien or demon?) who shows up to help some kids feel at home and cozy in their room. The unheimlich made heimlich! ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0887765866, Hardcover)

Having to share a room with a brother or sister can make for hard feelings, and the siblings in this hilarious book are grumpy about their crowded room. At least it seems crowded until Green Cat shows up. He’s going to show us what a really crowded room can look like. By the time he piles in everything from a toaster to a giraffe, the amazed siblings are ready to admit that sharing a room is not so bad after all.

(retrieved from Amazon Thu, 12 Mar 2015 18:23:58 -0400)

When Tom and Lynn complain that their room is too small to share, a green cat pays them a visit and changes their thinking.
