Practicality is the emphasis in this study of James, the epistle of life as it should be lived by the Christian. James is seen as dealing primarily with justification before men in contrast to Paul's epistles which focus on justification before God. Dr. Luck has written a clear-sighted analysis of the overall content of the epistle, making application to everyday life. In a style which is both meaningful and refreshing, the author has concentrated on the meaning of given passages. Quotations, illustrations, and definitions are interspersed through the text, thus adding life to each explanation.
