This is a book about a cat that switches between two homes - one on a farm and the other in a city - and the curious nature of the two owners (a boy and a girl, David and Sarah). One day, Sarah follows her cat, Charlie, only to find that he has visited his other owner, David (who calls him Freckles). In the end, they decide to "share custody" of the cat and allow him to come and go wherever and whenever he pleases.

I loved the illustrations in the book and I think it would make a great read to a child with a cat or who wants a cat or pet. ( )
