Save the turkeys!!! Most hillarious Thanksgiving book written in rhyme to Clement Moore's historical poem. A few children are off to a turkey farm on a school field trip just before Thanksgiving where they learn what happens to those turkeys! Well, they are going to do everything in their power to help save them. Pay attention to the pictures - depiction of the text! ( )

This humorous tale tells of a class field trip to a turkey farm in which the students decide to try to save the turkey's from being eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. The students stuff the turkeys under their shirts and feed the turkeys for Thanksgiving instead of making them the entree.

Very cute story patterned after the classic "Twas the Night Before Christmas". Great illustrations.

This was a very cute book. The children felt so bad for the turkeys that they took them home to have Thanksgiving dinner with them.

"Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving" is an excellent spin-off to The Night Before Christmas book. An extension activity would be to ask students what they are thankful for.
