The strength of this volume lies in its exhaustive variety of festivities, not in practical advice to parents. "Unforgettable" best describes these 16 birthday, holiday, and theme parties for which instructions for making invitations, games, and decorations are given. Each party has a menu and clever recipes, although the ingredients often will appeal only to more mature tastes. ( )
