Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0692470611, Paperback)

17 year old Deron just wants to be left alone and if at all possible, be reunited with the girl of his dreams. Not too much to ask for under normal circumstances, but the world is not the same as it once was.

Weaponized drones patrol suburban streets. Government cameras  are installed everywhere - watching 24 hours a day. Computerized houses that control the occupants more than they control them. Equality Enforcement Corps officers patrol the streets and will cite you for equality infractions and haul you in for sensitivity training. And sex is the drug that keeps the citizens happy almost all of the time.

In the tradition of 1984, Brave New World, and Logan's Run, a society under re-construction is guided by an over-reaching government into a utopian future where everyone is wealthy, and all people are treated equally - or else.
