The author did a fine job in sharing different aspects of Daniel in his journey of landing the role of Harry Potter, how he remained level-headed with the newfound fame, and his future plans beyond the Harry Potter franchise. There was a consistent comparison between Daniel and his Harry Potter role. The book is organized nicely based on different aspects of Daniel which makes the information easy to follow.

For example, the chapter called "Harry Potter Mania" gives a bountiful amount of background information on how Harry Potter came to be. It goes into detail on when the author, J.K. Rowling, first thought of Harry Potter and the transition from the world of Harry Potter being in book form to becoming a movie. The author shares that, "J.K. was excited about the prospect of seeing her vision come to life on-screen, and optioned the rights for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone to him and Warner Bros. for $700,000." This was actually a cheap deal when you consider how successful Harry Potter would become.

Another example of sharing interesting facts the author shares is when she discusses the controversy the first Harry Potter movie started. Some critics claimed that the magic in the movie would push children to take an interest in dark arts. Daniel responded with, ""I can't see how it's Satanism or anything...The only thing that saves Harry from being killed is the love his mother had for him. How can that be judged as evil?" He explained that the film's central theme was "redeeming love," not "sorcery."" I like how the author included a variety of aspects on the actor, books, and film industry. She showed his role in his relationship with the world.

The main idea of this book is to present a positive rendition of a young boy's journey of being a well-known and successful actor in the movie franchise Harry Potter. It is enjoyable and easy to read while being informative and positive. ( )

The main purpose for this book is to inform readers about the famous actor, Daniel Radcliffe.

I liked this book for its detail and pictures. The author not only gives facts about the person, but she also provides examples that readers can connect to. For example, in chapter 12, the author is discussing Radcliffe's character's growth. "In Order of the Phoenix, Harry makes the final transition from a kid to a teen. And anyone who has a big brother or sister knows that's not an easy time." Then, she goes on explaning some typical characteristics of a teenager going through puberty. The pictures also go along with the biography to enhance the topic and help the reader's get a sense of who this actor really is. ( )

"Not only myself, but I think everybody can relate to Harry in some way. It's the idea of magic, when magic kind of comes to life, there's so much opportunity for absolutely anything to happen."

When millions of fans who are into the Pottermania think of the image of Harry Potter, they immediately think of young Daniel Radcliffe. He has been the one to bring to life (both on the big screen and various merchandise) the icon that is the hero of Rowling's novels, enjoyed immensely by kids and adults worldwide.

Granted that Radcliffe hasn't got that much of acting experience yet given his young age but with enough time and range (and maybe stepping out of Harry's shadow) he might be able to merit a biography.

That being said, I still enjoy reading this book to find out more about the movies inspired by the Harry Potter series.

The book's written in a simple way, owing to the fact that its target audience are that of Daniel's generation and below. But it is enough to whet the appetite of those who seek to find out how Radcliffe landed this phenomenal role, how he gets along with his co-stars (both the veteran actors and the fresh faces), how he and Harry Potter are similar to each other, his favorites in terms of music and what-not, what life is like on the set when they're not acting, etc.

Temporarily stepping out of his Hogwarts robes, Dan (as his family and friends call him) has branched out from his image as Harry by taking on eclectic and daring new roles, both in film and on stage. I'm just crossing my fingers that he gets to stay and continue to star as the lead of the Harry Potter movies til the end.
