To play one group of poor sods off against another group of equally poor sods by making one the bogeyman for the other is often the winning formula for the modern brand of predatory capitalism. The example in this story - underprivileged kids in industrialised countries whose sole purpose of life are their computer game scores come up against underprivileged kids in 3rd-world-countries who slave-farm these games for less than starvation wages - makes for an excellent story of awareness, self-awareness and solidarity. I really liked Anda, the girl who grows from pursuing only her own interests and paying the price (in her health, among others) to understanding the structures and processes which spoil her favourite pastime and taking the responsibility for change.
