Book description
Vania, coming from Peru to Britain, is very lucky in the school for which she is bound, Dundonay House, romatically situated in the Isle of Skye. Dundonay is run on up-to-date lines; the girls are encouraged to mix with the local people; they have their own boat and every chance to indulge in hobbies. Vania falls in love with the school and everythin is perfect - until the shadow falls. First Vania, then the others, learn that Dundonay is in danger; the unpleasant Mr. Fox holds the fate of the school in his hands. Various plots are hatched with the idea of saving Dundonay, drawing Mr. Fox's daughter Rachel into the mix as well.
