Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0448437708, Paperback)

Mid-semester brings with it the results of the girls’ appraisals, and though every student at The Royal Ballet School is talented, not everyone has what it takes to go all the way. Although Ellie passes her appraisal with flying colors, everyone at school is tense with worry that one of them won’t make it. Ellie is especially concerned when Sophie returns and just doesn’t seem to be acting like herself. What will happen if one of the girls is assessed out? What will they have to fall back on?

(retrieved from Amazon Thu, 12 Mar 2015 18:02:44 -0400)

Ellie and her friends rally to support Sophie, their fellow Royal Ballet School student who has failed her dance assessment and must decide what to do once she leaves at the end of the term.
